George Luehmann2 Esqr of Melbourne for the honor of the Fellowship of the Linnean Society, to which he is well entitled by his zeal in botanic Science.

Mr Lühmann is since a series of years engaged in my Department, and thus aids also in work of the bot Museum.3

To have been read in March, it must have sent to London by January 1885. It has been numbered accordingly. The letter is pasted onto the top of a formal recommendation form.
