From Ferdinand von Mueller to Ferdinand von Krauss   21 Apr 1885

21/4/85

This time I would just like to inform you, noble friend, that I will send you a small box in the next week free through the agency of Mr Tate,1 which contains some lizards and a small tortoise preserved in alcohol, which all were collected near Cape York (north-east Australia).2 The small tortoise may perhaps be new and in that case it would be good to describe it soon, since now several zoologists in Queensland and New South Wales immediately work up all new things that fall into their hands.

Various other larger things lie ready for you but not enough to fill a box.

Respectfully and wishing you all the best

Ferd. von Mueller.

Frederick Tate.
