From Joseph Maiden   1 May 1885

1st May [188]51

Dear Baron Mueller,

I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your kindly letter of the 31st March,2 which would have been replied to ere this but for my illness.

I did not know that the 10th Decade of your work (Eucalyptographia,3 had appeared, as it was not issued the last time I applied for it.

I will gladly apply to the Hon. James Service for this valuable work, which I have always endeavoured to make more widely know amongst Sydney friends.

Yours truly,

J. H. Maiden.
