From Ferdinand von Mueller to Richard Bastow   27 May 1885

27/5/85

I am not certain, dear Mr Bastow, whether the little bryologic publication, sent herewith,1 is already in the library of the R.S. of T.2 If so, this copy will be useful for your own book-collection. It has become very rare, as the edition was so small. No monetary means were available to continue these illustrations.

If you have any mosses for naming, I will be happy to send them to Dr C. Mueller, with whom since more than 30 years I am in continued communication.

I have large Australian Addenda to the lists published in the 11th vol of my "Fragm. phytogr. Austr., but few additional spec. since only from Tasmania for the 12th vol., which I hope will appear 1886.3

Regardfully

your

Ferd. von Mueller.
