Melbourne
24/6/85
The honorable Graham Berry, M.L.A.,
Chief Secretary.
Sir
I have the honor to inform you, that his Excellency Capt. Moloney, Governor of Gambia, in a letter received by last mail (hereto affixed)1 has asked me, to send to him seeds of Eucalypts for trial-culture in that colony. Having procured various sorts I beg to forward them to you, deeming it right that the sending should be made as a direct presentation from the Victorian Government.
I further beg to send herewith an answer letter,2 and would also beg to suggest, that a copy of the Eucalyptography may be added to this sending.3
I have the honor to be,
Sir, your obedient servant
Ferd. von Mueller.
