Herewith, dear Mr Thomas, I beg to send a copy of the two publications, recently issued by the geographic Society of Australasia,1 for the acceptance of the Hon. James Service. I expect, that the next portion of the proceedings, which will contain an account of the arrangements for the New Guinea Expedition, will be out in a very short time.2
