From William Sewell to Ferdinand von Mueller   2 Oct 1885

2nd October [188]5

Dear Sir

With reference to your letter of the 21st ultimo1 I beg to inform you that your message of thanks for the "Challenger" Report2 will be duly conveyed to the Lord Commissioners of the Treasury

As regards, however, the proposal to present a copy of the "Eucalyptographia"3 to their Lordships in return, Mr Service thinks that, as the Secretary of State for the Colonies — as well as the British Museum — has already been supplied with a copy, it is scarcely necessary to transmit one to the Treasury also

faithfully yours

Wm Sewell

for Secretary

Sir Ferdinand Mueller K.C.M.G.
