Letter not found. M's letter was read at a Council meeting, 26 May 1886. The Belfast gazette published the following summary of the letter and discussion: 'Baron Von Mueller to the Park Ranger, expressing his gratification at the success of the British Marrum grass on the reserve, the seeds of which he had forwarded to the Council, the report of which he had seen in the Belfast Gazette. The Baron stated he had some other valuable grasses and herbs seeds which he would forward to Mr Avery. — It was decided that the thanks of the Council be sent to Baron Von Muller for his kindness' (Belfast gazette, 28 May 1886, p. 3).
