To Francis Barnard   13 August 1886

13/8/86.

I am much beholden to the Committee of the Field-Naturalists Club, dear Mr Barnard, for the ample concessions made,1 and of which I shall freely avail myself. I now beg to send you a cheque for £1.5/ in payment of 5 of the 7 pages, which the Club kindly issued of writings of mine in the last number.2

I had hurriedly to leave the last meeting, as I had promised, to come as early as I could to the mask-ball of my Countrymen (or rather arranged by the Turnverein) at the same evening.

Regardfully

your

Ferd. von Mueller
