The list that follows is in the hand of Georg Luehmann.

On 31 August 1886, the Undersecretary, T. Wilson, asked M to send a copy of the work for the information of the Chief Secretary. M replied: 'Copy now forwarded by post. 2/9/86.' However, Wilson replied saying that he has sent only vol. II and requested 'a copy of the work complete, or so far as completed'. M replied, 8 September: 'Vol. II is quite complete in itself. Vol. I gives the full separata text; but can only appear in 1887, as the work "Key to the system of Victorian plants" must receive precedence for completion.' M was informed on 9 September 1886 that his request had been approved and the next day he returned the file 'with best thanks'. On 15 September the Government Printer was instructed to provide the required number of copies and the Librarian, Public Library, was instructed to send them to the institutions and people on M's list. The file was returned to the Premier's Office on 12 October 1886. Copies were despatched from the Public Library on 19 October to the people and institutions on M’s list; see Unit10, pp. 433-9, VPRS 802/, Librarian's outward registered correspondence, 1864-1957, VA 913 Public Library of Victoria, Public Record Office, Victoria.
