From Ferdinand von Mueller to a gentleman in Perth   [Sep 1886]

[In a private letter addressed to a gentleman residing in Perth, Baron Sir Ferd v. Mueller, states that having now in progress a work on acacias,1 similar in character to his quarter volume on eucalyptus,2 he is anxious to obtain "good fruiting branchlets" of the acacia found around Champion Bay.3 What the Baron wants, we understand, is branchlets having pods containing ripe seeds.]4
