My dear Baron
You will be pleased to hear that this afternoon I was fortunate in finding the locality of the long looked for Alg Claudia bennetteana1 (Harv) For the last 6 years I have dredged and trawled in vain, both inside and outside Port Jackson — fortunately we came across it, in a place least expected and have a dozen good specimens some 6 to 8 [m] across also some very minute spms2 like that figured by Dr Harvey
I regret to say none shows signs of fruit but now we know where to get it, I will visit the place every week during the present year & so will find it in time — it lives in from 3 to 5 fathoms
with many kind regards
believe me
my dear Baron
yours truly
E. P. Ramsay
