Your note re the Melaleucae was too late for the plant was given in my first Occasional Paper2 the only way now to do is3 to correct it in the next about to be printed or leave it as it is for a time and we might obtain better specimens

I have heard nothing about this Mr Hooker except the notice in the paper4 but is5 I do meet him will give him your message

Melaleuca lysicephala, described under the names of M and Bailey in Bailey (1886b), p. 2;  no further Occassional Paper has been found. M's note has not been found, but in  Bailey (1888a), p. 24,  the species was transferred to Agonis.
