Die Lhotzkya mit rauhen Härchen von der Käng. Insel, lieber Herr Tepper, ergiebt sich als von L. genethylloides verschieden, u soll Ihrem Freunde, Mr Smeaton, (wie Sie es wünschen für eine etwa neue Art) gewidmet werden.

Nach der Beschreibung, wenn solche ja erschienen, werden Sie ausfindig machen, ob die Hydrocotyle comocarpa von H. crassiuscula verschieden ist.

Hätte noch gern ein Ex. der neuen Candollea für Alph de Candolle, u seinen Sohn Casimir, der auch schon Söhne hat.

The Lhotzkya with rough little hairs from Kangaroo Island,2 dear Mr Tepper, proves to be different from L. genethylloides and shall be dedicated to your friend Mr Smeaton (as you requested for a possible new species).3

After the description, if it indeed appears, you will discover whether the Hydrocotyle comocarpa is different from H. crassiuscula.4

I would still like to have a specimen of the new Candollea for Alph. de Candolle, and his son Casimir, who also already has sons.
