[In the Warsaw Botanical Garden a three-year-old specimen of Eucalyptus ficifolia, which, like two others, was raised from seed for which I am indebted to the kindness of Baron FERD. v. MUELLER in Melbourne, flowered last August.1]

Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Eucalyptus ficifolia F. v. M. in Blüte' [Eucalyptus ficifilia F. v. M. in bloom], Gartenflora, vol. 40 (1891), p. 337, in the first of two issues for June. M's letter is dated to 1887 on the basis that the plant was three years old when it flowered in 1890, and the assumption that the seeds were sown when received.
