Der ächte Thysanotus dichotomus, lieber Herr Tepper, hat keine Knollen, sondern nur eine dicken Wurzelstock; will aber doch die ganze Gruppe bald wieder nach vermehrten Material durchsuchen, da ja mehr wie eine Art von Bentham zusammengefasst sein mag, wie bei Centipeda, u ich mich so habe vielleicht täuschen lassen.

Die kleine Billardiera scheint Zwergform von B. cymosa mit einzelne Blüthe zu sein.

Nach Mr E.J. Brown soll gelegentlich eine neue südaustr Pfl. (wenn möglich Baum) Edwiniana genannt werden.

Der ächte Thysanotus tuberosus hat immer spindelförmige Knollen. Ich mag in der Eile die Hibbertia verkannt haben; das Benennen geschieht oft in Nachtstunden mit ermudeten u älterden Augen!

Die Frucht (reif) müsste etweige Unterschiede der Billardieen zeigen. Die neue Lhotzkya geht morgen in Druck hier. Besten Dank für Ihre prächtigen entomologischen Notizen.

The genuine Thysanotus dichotomus, dear Mr Tepper, does not have tubers, but only a thick rhizome; but will certainly look at the whole group again soon from enlarged material, as there may indeed be more than one species combined by Bentham, such as in the case of Centipeda and perhaps I have allowed myself to be deceived.

The small Billardiera seems to be a dwarf form of B. cymosa with solitary flowers.

A new South Australian plant (if possible a tree) shall be named after Mr E. J. Brown² when there is an opportunity.

The genuine Thysanotus tuberosus always has fusiform tubers. In the hurry I may have misjudged the Hibbertia; the naming often happens in the night hours with tired and ageing eyes.

The fruit (ripe) ought to show possible differences of Billardieae. The new goes to press here tomorrow.³ Best thanks for your splendid entomological notes.
