From George, Viscount Deerhurst1    16 February 1887

GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

MELBOURNE.

Feb. 16:18872

Dear Baron von Müller

Mr Brisbane wrote to me today to say that you wished to know whether Lord & Lady Huntly and myself would come to the quarterly meeting of the Geographical Society tomorrow night. But I am sorry to say that we will not be able to avail ourselves of your kindness as we have already made engagements. His Excellency3 altho' I am sure he will regret it much will not either be able to come or Lady Loch as H. E. will not stay a night in Melbourne.

Believe me

Your very truly

Deerhurst
