To Edward Ramsay   24 March 1887

24/3/87

The Acacia, sent by you, dear Dr Ramsay, is A. Osswaldi. Such specimens are always valuable, —as you say—, for record of locality. Fruiting specimens of many of the far-inland Acacias are in many cases yet unknown.

Regardfully your

Ferd von Mueller.

Would you be one of the scientific party to Mt Seaview during the holidays of Easter. 1

Acacia Osswaldi

M had been trying to encourage an expedition to Mt Seaview, in the Hastings River district of NSW; see M to Linnean Society of New South Wales, March 1887 (in this edition as 87-03-00c), and M to E. Ramsay, 18 March 1887.
