From Duncan Carson   September 1887

This plant was found by me at Wee Wata Spring on Kallara Station Darling River N.S.W. – I have only noticed it in close proximity to this spring, the water of which I believe is strongly impregnated with soda. It grows in dense masses in the wet ground.1
