From George Seymour Fort   9 October 1887

GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

MELBOURNE.

9/10/87

Dear Baron Von Mueller —

His Excellency the Governor1 has requested me to inform you that he much regrets that it will be impossible, he now finds, for him to be present on the evening of the 11th November.2

The best plan is for you to submit to His Excellency a choice of 3 or 4 dates — asking that the Governor should fix one of them to be present at the meeting —

Believe me

Yrs truly

G. Seymour Fort

Baron Sir Ferdinand Von Mueller

K.C.M.G. & & &

Henry Brougham Loch.
