May I ask, dear Mr Wilson, whether still any copies of Bentham's and my "Flora Australiensis"1 are available at your office as surplus, the copy used for so many years here falling to pieces; so I should be thankful for a set.
May I ask also for one set of the portfolios of specimens of the "educational collections of dried plants.2 About a dozen are yet of I & II in your sellar3 (or II or III) — I forgot which — so perhaps one could come back to me.4
Regardfully
your
Ferd. von Mueller.
Bentham (1863-78).

There is a note by Wilson on the file cover, dated 23 November: '7 volume set. Is there a complete set, or more [...]'. On 24 November, an unidentified departmental officer noted: 'It is, evidently, judging by the preface to last volume herewith'.
