This certificate was read at a General Meeting of the Society, on the 2nd day of Feb. 1888.4

The Ballot will take place on the 1st day of March, 18885

The body of the certificate was apparently filled in by Maiden, cf. Maiden's obligation form dated 'Technological Museum, [….] [ text obscured ] 1 May 1888', undertaking to pay fees while he remained a member.
Deane signed across the printed text; Woolls signed at the bottom of the sheet below the printed text; the corner of the sheet is missing.
To have been read at the Society in February, the form must have been sent no later than December 1887, and it is numbered accordingly.
