I have just met with an interesting new Cupania of which I send you a specimen It is a large shrub or small tree and grows within a few miles of Brisbane but in a locality where I have only lately visited I intend describing it in my second supplement but know you would like a specimen

MS found with specimen of Cupania shirleyana (MEL 108839). On Bailey's label, below Bailey's MS name, M has added 'Cupania Wadsworthi FvM var.'
MS annotation by M: 'Answ 10/12/87.' Letter not found. Bailey’s letter is dated to 5 December from his "in and out letter and packet book", letter register, book 1, Queensland Herbarium, Brisbane.
