Several of the record numbers are not at MEL; the remainder are dated only to the year1888. The specimen numbered 836 at MEL is named as Lindernia, not Mitrasacme, genera in different families; names of the other specimens held at MEL match or are synonyms at least to generic level (AVH accessed 9 August 2021; 31 May 2022). There is no relevant mention in surviving 1888 or 1889 letters to Holtze of species in this list. and it cannot be dated more precisely than to the year.
