Es bleibt mir noch die freudige Pflicht, lieber Herr Tepper, Ihnen meinen besten Dank auszusprechen für die gütigen Wünsche, welche Sie mir zu dieser Festzeit wieder darbringen, u mit einem so schönen Souvenir begleitet haben.
Möge denn auch die neue annuella Spanne Zeit, in welche wir jetzt hineinleben, reich an Freuden für Sie sein, und Ihnen neuen Ruhm in Ihren erfolgreichen Streben für die Wissenschaften bringen!

The happy duty still remains for me, dear Mr Tepper, to express my best thanks to you for the kind wishes that you again offer me at this festive season and have accompanied with such a beautiful souvenir.
