From Ferdinand von Mueller to Henry Deane   23 Feb 1888

23/2/88.

I am eager, dear Mr Deane, to include the genuine Acacia pruinosa, of which you sent flowering specimens,1 into the Atlas of Austral. Acacias,2 but I never had any fruit of it. Can you kindly procure it, if possible soon?

Regardfully

your

Ferd. von Mueller.

Can you or any of your friends on pleasure-walks look for Aldrovanda in lagoon? It is in Europe often entangled among other water-weeds, and thus apt to be overlooked. In Australia we know it as yet only from one place in Queensland.

Acacia pruinosa

Aldrovanda

There is no record at MEL of a specimen of A. pruinosa supplied by Deane (AVH, accessed 14 November 2024).

B87.13.04, B88.13.01. A. pruinosa was not one of the species with an entry in the Atlas.
