I feel obliged to you, esteemed Mr Best, for the honour that you have rendered me in dedicating such an elegant form of Coleus to me, and I appreciate this the more so because I have such slight claims on your kindness. Perhaps I can be useful to you in one way or the other, which will be done with pleasure.
I was prevented from taking part in the festivities of the Turn Verein recently by my accident,2 but I hope to be soon among my gymnast friends again, although I am still now bedridden.
Respectfully
Your
Ferd. von Mueller.
Coleus
