The text of the forename or intials is indecipherable; There are three Fellows named Brown in the Fellows' List for 1888, of these the most likely is Robert Brown (1842-1895), then living in Streatham.
To have been read at the Society in November, the form must have been sent no later than September 1887, and it is numbered accordingly, although it was possible that it was sent earlier and arrived during the summer recess, i.e., after 21 June.
