[From Baron Von Mueller, Government botanist, relative to the thistle-like plant forwarded to him by Cr. Dellar, through the council, and stating that the plant was botanically known as "Kentrophylum1 lanatum." It was indigenous to the countries at and near the Mediteranean2 sea. As it was an annual only, it could be subdued by preventing it from ripening seeds.]
