Hoffentlich hast Du Dich ganz erholt.
Freundshaftlich
stets der Deine

Yesterday evening, my dear Krichauff, I received your kind letter.1 Please accept my best thanks for your felicitation on the brilliant event in my scientific life!2 I am particularly proud that this so rare honour was awarded first to a German in Australia. I must try to find you in person during your short stay here.
I have barely recovered from my accident,3 so I have only been to the Centennial Exhibition twice.
I hoped that you and yours would pay us a longer visit during the exhibition period. I hope you have recovered completely.4
Amicably
always yours
Ferd. von Mueller
