From Ferdinand von Mueller to Jacob Agardh   31 Dec 1888

Neujahrs Abend 1888.

New Year's Eve 1888

Noble friend, the last mail brought the valuable parcel of algae that you so kindly sent back2 for the State Herbarium. That you also devote your so valuable time to the distribution of specimens after the laborious naming, obliges me to thank you twice. Thus these autographically described specimens can form the basis of studies for later generations.

What comes from the excellent Wilson is always immediately forwarded to you per registered post. May the new annual time span, which is beginning now, prove to be a very joyful one for you too.

Ferd von Mueller

Sie.
