From Ferdinand von Mueller to Ralph Tate   1 Feb 1889

1/2/89

As new for S.A., dear Prof. Tate, I beg to mention to you Melaleuca Leucadendron L. Mr Alfr. Henry gathered it between Hergott's Spring1 and Eyre's Creek. — There cannot be a doubt about the identity of the plant; but I have only a few fragments. As you have specimens from Arnhem's Land,2 it does not seem necessary, to send you what little I have of it from extra-tropic S.A.

Regardfully

your

Ferd. von Mueller

Melaleuca Leucadendron

Now Marree, SA.
