Rob. Watson Esqr,
Engineer in Chief of the Railway-Department.
The timber, of which you sent a sample, dear Mr Watson,1 is according to the accompanying branchlet, from the true Blue Gum-tree, Eucalyptus Globulus. Surveillance is still necessary over the timber supply from the particular locality, as among E. Globulus are usually interspersed other kinds of Eucalypts.
Regardfully your
Ferd. von Mueller.
