From George Massee1    22 April 1889

Royal Herbarium Kew

April 22nd 1889,

To Baron von Mueller,

Enclosed is a second consignment of drawings of Australian fungi,2 drawn from Australian specimens with one exception. I thought it would be best to draw all the Australian species belonging to a single family, & have done so in the present instance with the Myxogasteres. Perhaps you will say if you approve of this plan & I will then next do all the Discomycetes. I should be glad to prepare Monographs of the various Australian families at a very reasonable price & send you the manuscript for publication in some of your scientific journals.

I quite approve of your suggestion as to the method of paying for the drawings.

Post office order should be made for the post office, Kew, Surrey.

Yours very truly

George Massee
