This letter was returned to M on 10 May 1889 with a minute: 'Submit estimate'. Notes on the file indicate that M replied on 28 August and the estimate was approved and returned to him on 29 August, but neither M's letter nor the approved estimate has been found. However, T. Wilson to M, 11 March 1891, and M to T. Wilson, 12 March 1891, together with the notes to M to G. Langridge, 17 November 1890, indicate that £180 was approved.
