To Edward Ramsay   19 June 1889

19/6/89

Can you oblige me, dear Dr Ramsay, by letting me know, what is the genus- and species-name of the Australian Katipo-Spider, the one (like the N.Z. Katipo) so poisonous. The two perhaps do not even belong to the same genus. I do not even possess Koch's Australian Arachnidae.1

Let me hope, that you will not be prevented from attending the Melbourne-Meeting of the Austral. Assoc. for the Advancement of science in Jan. 1890. By that time the railway will be ready to Bright,2 so that in the excursion to the glaciers of Mt Hotham even Ladies can share. Can we be honored by a litterary contribution of yours?3

Regardfully

your

Ferd. von Mueller
