Dear Baron:

We beg to direct special attention to, & solicit your practical & speedy co-operation with the terms of the attached form of resolution1 framed by our Council in substitution of that passed at our last annual meeting affirming the expediency etc of the granting of Diplomas of Fellowship by the Society. This resolution, which will be submitted for conformation to our Annual Meeting to be held on the 15th proximo, we feel sure, if forthwith acted upon by the various branches of our Society, will greatly foster a closer bond of union. To provide for the terms of this resolution we are having a special Diploma prepared in your City, & we suggest that you secure some copies for your branch while the negative is on the lithographic stone.

Trusting you will urge the other branches to united & simultaneous action with us, & that you will forthwith do likewise by your own branch,
