From Ferdinand von Mueller to Jacob Agardh   4 July 1889

4/7/89.

Highly esteemed Professor, algae in a half decayed and stuck together condition have just arrived from Champion Bay. It seems best to me to send them to you as they are; probably you can prepare something from them still. This locality as considerably distant northwards from Swan River was not visited by Harvey.2 The collector was Mr H. A. Spalding, to whom I have to make a horticultural gift in response for them; thus the algae-collecting does not cost any money this time. I will instruct him how he has to collect.

Best greetings

wie sie sind, is a marginal addition with an asterisk marking its intended location; however, M had already written the same words in the body of the letter!
