B. in Wiesbaden.
I have just ascertained that on the Arthur River1 Telopea truncata (magnificent Proteacea) exceptionally occurs 25’ tall with a basal trunk diameter of 1’. These are of course only half the dimensions of T. oeades in East Gippsland.2 As both occur in subalpine regions, they might even endure the winter in mild regions of Germany alongside some Rhododendron species, e.g. in Wiesbaden. If I obtain seeds of both fresh, I will send them to you, as you will surely know best, who would undertake the cultivation trial in Germany most reliably.
