17/10/89.
The Central Austral. plants having arrived, dear Prof. Tate, I shall write at once a few notes on them; but before doing so, I like to mention, that I just have received Helipterum laeve from a locality N. W. of Lake Hindmarsh; and as I received specimens two years ago also from Central Riverina, you would be quite justified, to enclose this otherwise W.A. plant also in your flora.1 Let me further say, before I forget, that for want of time I shall write no preface to the second Census, so that a new general essay will appear with the first suppl.2
The Fuirena is a rather glabrous state of F. glomerata. This gives you an additional genus for your Flora3
Rotala = R. verticillaris L a form with leaves of more irregular size than usual.
Psoralea patens, Lindley. one of the many forms.
Crotalaria incana! L.
In the course of the week I will afford you further information
Regardfully
your
Ferd. von Mueller.

Fuirena glomerata

Psoralea patens
