To Adolph Engler   22 February 1890

22/2/90.

Today, esteemed friend, the box with New Guinea plants has arrived, and, as it seems, the contents are well-preserved. Accept my best thanks for this and also tell Dr Hollrung that I feel very obligated to him for his liberality. I do not know his present address, otherwise I would have thanked him in a direct letter.

Because there will be no exhibition work for 1890 and 1891 and the main obligations for the Austral. Assoc. are fulfilled,1 I breathe somewhat more freely and will now also be able to work up the Papuan plants yet remaining with me unworked.

So as time permits, yet another collection will also be made again for you.

Best greeting

Your

Ferd. von Mueller
