From Edward Ramsay   7 March 1890

AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM SYDNEY

Sydney

March 7th /90

My dear Baron

I am very desirous of obtaining a copy of your "Eucalyptographia"1 as you know I have been working at Aust. Botany for many years, as I cannot afford to purchase the work, I send you five copies of my "Tabular List of Australian Birds"2 which will be of use to Public Libraries in Victoria hoping that you will be able to send me a copy, or recommend the Government to do so, (of the Eucalyptographia)

In accordance with your wishes I am preparing a list of the Victorian Birds, showing their distribution over the whole of Australia which although commenced, immediately on the receipt of your letter3 I have been unable to finish, on account of great pressure of Museum work here.

Hoping that you still enjoy good health

Believe me

My dear Baron

Yours very truly

Ed. P. Ramsay4
