From Ferdinand von Mueller to John Reid   10 Apr 1890

10/4/901

It is gratifying, dear Dr Reid, that you brought the chemical investigations, concerning Hibbertia, to a successful conclusion.2 The two new samples came all right here, they are very interesting. As the order of Dilleniaceae contains fully 200 well marked species, your researches will become widely applicable, particularly also to the large species occuring in various tropical countries.

Let me hope, that amidst all this close application your health remains firm.

Regardfully

your

Ferd von Mueller.
