From Ferdinand von Mueller to Alexander Macdonald   6 June 1890

6/6/90.

The German Mail, dear Mr Macdonald, just brought this interesting letter from Dr Nansen. It seems to me, that it should be given to the Argus, on the condition that it be printed to keep up the antarctic interest.1 Perhaps you will approve of this, and arrange accordingly.

Regardfully

your

Ferd von Mueller

The essay is printed in the Norwegian language.2

F. Nansen to M, 23 April 1890, printed in Argus, 10 June 1890, p. 7.

Nansen had enclosed with his letter a printed paper (not found) describing his proposed North Pole expedition.
