Nach einer längeren Unterbrechung durch Amts Arbeiten, geehrter Herr Holtze, komme ich nun wieder zu Ihren Pflanzen. N 1098 ist eine neue Sida, obwohl sie mehr wie ein Hibiscus aussieht. Ich beschreibe solche eben für die Royal Society of N.S.W., u habe sie Sida Holtzei genannt. Es fehlen aber reife Früchte; solche sind freilich klein, aber würden sich doch wohl finden lassen. Ist dies merkwürdige Gewächs selten? Ist es ein- oder mehrjährig? Auf welchen Stellen kommt es vor?

After a lengthy interruption by official work, esteemed Mr Holtze, I am now able to return to your plants. No. 10981 is a new Sida, although it looks more like a Hibiscus. I am just describing it for the Royal Society of New South Wales, and have called it Sida holtzei.2 However, ripe fruit are lacking; they are certainly small, nonetheless it should be possible to find them. Is this curious plant rare? Is it annual or perennial? At what localities does it occur?3
