After further interruption, dear Mr Holtze, I have done some more on the last of your plants. Your Hoya No. 1054 is H. australis.1 We have not known the plant from N. W. Australia so far, nor has anybody found the fruit before. Do you have any more of the fruit? No. 1010 is a Tylophora. I have named it in honour of our fellow-countryman Dr Leibius, who was just elected President of the Royal Society of NSW, because the descriptions of your plants are going to be published in the transactions of this Society.2
Should you find any fruits, I should like to describe them as well. I should like to have more specimens of such a peculiar and possibly very locally distributed plant. Of the Asclepiadeae 1050, 1051, 1052 and 10553 you kindly sent flowers in alcohol, but I am missing the corresponding herbarium specimens. I would also like to ask if you discern more than one species of Pennisetum there? Possibly, there is also more than one species of Hoya in your area.
With amicable greeting your
