M was scheduled to present a paper on 'Expeditionen in New Guinea, Polynesien und Nordenskjöld's Süd-polarexpeditionen' at the session of 11 August 1891, but the report of the session states 'M. le baron de Müller; n'étant pas présent pour donner sa conference', it was not delivered (vol. 1, p. 71). No published version of such a text has been found.

Letter not found. The text given here is from a report of the meeting of the Council of the Royal Geographical Society of Australasia (Victorian Branch) held on 5 November 1890, Transactions and proceedings of the Royal Geographical Society of Australasia (Victorian Branch), Part II, Volume 8 (1891), p. 63. The preceding Council meeting had been held on 6 October and M's letter must have been written after that; it is dated to October as the earliest date it could have been written.
