Hochgeehrter Herr Baron
In grosser Eile Ihr

Highly esteemed Baron
Enclosed I take the liberty of sending you a flower that comes from Queensland and 700 miles from Bourke in a westerly direction. The plant or shrub is said to very rare and the leaves give off a very strong musky smell. The finder, who is known to me, had only three specimens of the flowers and I requested one of them for you; but he has seeds of it that I also could get if you wish them and the plant is not already known to you as I suppose.
Please kindly tell me the name. In great haste, your
respectful
A. Würfel
I remain here only until next Monday, then as previous address Dubbo
Letter found with specimen of Gossypium australe (MEL 46917).
