Entries 1625-1630 in the stock book of the Technological Museum, Sydney (Archives, Powerhouse Museum, Sydney), dated 17 July 1891, refer to these specimens, and they are listed in the day book entry for 17 July 1891 (MRS 89, Day book, 1890-1910, Archives, Powerhouse Museum, Sydney).

Maiden (1890, 1892) describes the results of his chemical analyses, which were directed at finding patterns of kino types useful for classification of the eucalypts.
