We the undersigned beg to recommend

Walter Scott Campbell Esq. (of Oaklands, Edgecliffe Road, Woollahra near Sydney), for the Fellowship of the Linnean Society.

Mr. W. S. Campbell has been connected with the Civil Service of New South Wales for many years, & his literary productions have tended to promote the agricultural & horticultural interests of the colony.

Campbell was ‘removed from the Society’s list by order of the Council’ on 4 June 1896 (Proceedings of the Linnean Society of London, session 1895–96, p. 14).
